Along the trail to the waterfall was a small sugar mill. It was quite
interesting: the top level had a pair of oxen working a grinder, and the
farmers fed in sugarcane. The liquid came out on a lower level where the seņora scooped it into boiling cauldrons to purify. Finally,
the sugarcane was poured into small containers to harden and transport.
We got to taste it at each stage. Yummy!
