I did visit an outstanding museum built in the shape of a ancient temple.  This modern facility holds countless artifacts found in the nearby ruins of Sipán.  This was another pre-Incan civilization in the area, and the excavation was a great discovery because the ruins had escaped the attention of tomb robbers (think the Peruvian version of Tutankhamen).  Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed inside.
