That night I met an American couple at my hostel and tagged along with them
for dinner and drinks.
Lima has a huge selection of cuisine, both traditional and modern. I
kicked off my gastronomical explorations with two of the most famous: lomo
saltado (beef strips and vegetables on a bed of french fries) and a Pisco Sour
(Peruvian grape brandy, whipped egg whites, and lime juice). Sandwiches and pastries are also quite
common.
