The road north was sparse desert and dramatic coastline.  Here we are reminded to drink Inca Kola.  It is best described as radioactive bubblegum cream soda, and in Peru it outsells Coca Cola (the only soft drink in any country to do so).  I had a bad experience with this beverage later.
