The next day we started our Southern Peru trek by heading to Paracas, about four hours south of Lima.  This part of Peru got wiped out by an earthquake/tsunami combo last year, so there was a lot of reconstruction going on.  We arrived in the evening and booked a boat tour for the next morning.  Michael came with us, but Alex had to stay with the baby.
