Instead of going all the way back to Cusco, we got off the train early in the village of Ollantaytambo.  The area surrounding Cusco (known as the Sacred Valley) was dotted with Inca ruins, so we decided to take a few days and explore the sights.  That night was Mari's birthday, and we celebrated with a fantastic dinner, including alpaca pizza!  The chef was even nice enough to make Mari a special birthday cake with pancakes, chocolate sauce, and fresh fruit (which he later pushed into her face... they claimed it was a Latin tradition).
