Tarapoto, like many Peruvian cities, was a nest of motorcycle taxis.  These guys were geniuses.  They dressed up their taxis like Santa sleighs and rolled around the plaza for a few soles, which is what you normally pay to get across town (3 soles = 1 dollar).  Kids were lined up around the block.
