These beautiful canines were hanging around the site: the Peruvian Hairless Dog.  Because of their high body temperatures, the ancients would treat colds and stomach problems by sleeping next to the dogs.  Also, one of the few breeds that do not cause hypoallergic reactions, and the Peruvian government offered one to the Obamas when they were looking for a dog!  I wonder why they didn't accept.
